Medium Voltage Energy Cables
Medium voltage energy cables refer to cables used at voltage levels between 1 kV and 36 kV. These cables are used for electrical power transmission lines, industrial plants, intercity power transmission and other high power distribution applications.
Medium voltage power cables are made of insulated wires and usually XLPE or EPR insulation materials are used. The cores of these cables are made of highly conductive materials such as copper or aluminum. In addition, they may be surrounded by protective shields.
